This vintage demitasse cup and chipped saucer are part of the Barlaston Green pattern (also sometimes referred to as Wintergreen or Celadon Green) by Wedgwood of special Green-Bodied Queensware. Please see images and video.
Product Details
- Size: approximately 2 1/2 inches in height.
- Pattern: Barlaston Green / Wintergreen.
- Design: A minimalist mid-century modern style featuring a solid green exterior with a white interior and handle.
- Production Era: These were primarily produced between the 1950s and 1970s.
- Markings: “OF ETRURIA & BARLASTON WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and a number 7.
- Interior: White.
- Clay body: The clay is green throughout the body (notice it in the chip). It is a specialized, less common mid-century formulation called Colored Queensware (specifically Green-Bodied Queensware).
