The platter shown is a Wedgwood bone china made in England. Based on the visual characteristics and markings, it appears to compliment Wedgwood’s classic patterns featuring a colored rim on fine white bone china.
The top center surface shows normal wear. The back side has faint staining, almost like tomato sauce. Please see this video. There is a second matching platter available with similar staining on the back side. It is 1″ tall, and 13.68 x 10.5″ wide. See this video.
Purchased in England in the late 1950s with pieces that are definitely “Barlaston”, this piece may be of the “Moonlight”, “Greenwood” or “Celedon” pattern. Extensive searches can not find an exact match in the United States.
Stamped on the bottom with the vintage Wedgwood bone china backstamp from England, featuring the brand’s traditional Portland Vase logo.
